The operation of our u3a depends on carrying out over fifty periodic activities ranging from booking speakers to preparing newsletters to setting up new member meetings. Dividing activities between our volunteers and committee members keeps tasks manageable, enjoyable, fulfilling and beneficial to our members.
Interested in becoming more involved with running our u3a?
Please contact or speak to one of our committee members or drop into one of our monthly committee meetings. These meetings are fun and informal but are held to ensure that our u3a continues to develop and provides our members with the range of activities expected of u3as and complies with national u3a and statutory requirements.
There are big personal benefits to volunteering or becoming a committee member: being part of a team, learning new skills and experiences, contributing to our u3a by passing on your skills to members, training, mentoring and developing new friendships.
