The Whitley Bay u3a monthly meeting is held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, at 2:00pm. We meet at Linskill Centre, Linskill Terrace, North Shields, NE30 2AY.

All members are welcome to come and enjoy tea, coffee and biscuits socialising with existing members in an informal atmosphere.

Prospective members are also welcome to attend a meeting to see what is involved and talk to the committee, group leaders, and other members.

The events are published at least a month in advance and are featured on the website, in the monthly newsletter, by email and at the monthly meetings.

Christmas Social December 16^th 2026

Members are cordially invited to Whitley Bay u3a’s Christmas Social on Wednesday, December 16^th in Linskill Centre, 2pm to 4pm. It is a Members Only event. It is free of charge but admittance will be by ticket only.

Tickets will be available at the November Members’ Monthly Meetings. If you would like to come to the Social but are unable to collect your ticket at the November meeting, you can have a friend collect it on your behalf, provided they give your name.

Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements when you receive your ticket.

Volunteers to help set up the Hall from 12pm on the day and help clear away after the Social will be very welcome. Please let any Committee member know if you can offer your assistance.

Local Transport:

There is a bus stop near to the Linskill Centre on Linskill Terrace which is on the 306 bus route. This service runs from Tynemouth to Newcastle via Wallsend. The 301 bus, goes through Whitley Bay, Marden Estate, Tynemouth, Howdon, Wallsend and Newcastle. The 301 bus stops are close to North Tyneside Magistrates' Court on Tynemouth Road at the far end of Linskill Terrace.

North Shields and Tynemouth metro stations are both about 20 minutes walk away.
