Sessions take place in various local hostelries and not always on Friday afternoons. Times and venues are decided by the members. New members are very welcome so if you enjoy sampling the real thing in good company while supporting local businesses please contact Tim.

Brinkburn Brewery Tour
On 23rd May six members of the group had a great time at the brewery in Ouseburn. The first 1/3rd arrived, Jog on my Son, 5% ABV, and while drinking it the fascinating talk on all aspects of beer, brewing and much more began.
The second 1/3rd arrived, Hit the North 5.6% and was followed by the 3rd which was House of the Rising Sun Porter at 7.2%.
The talk also included the building's earlier life as the home of the Maling Pottery. With beer in hand we went into the brewery where the talk turned to the brewing process.
After the talk and tour some of us stayed on to have some excellent food of which some included beer eg brown ale gravy and stout onions.
I can highly recommend the tours and pub/restaurant/brewery if you want somewhere to go.
